Christmas is one of our favorite times to show off our creative side, and logs take centerstage. This year, our products have been nominated in La Presse + Pause. The article, “The Best Supermarket Yule Logs,” identified the best options to share this holiday.

Raspberry Explosion won the first “only fruit” category. The perfect match between raspberries and chocolate gets an upgrade with balsamic jam that adds the spark it needed. With a moist raspberry brownie, it’s truly a memorable log.

Another creation took second place in this category: Pear Vanilla consists of two layers of our moist vanilla sponge cake with an attractive vanilla mousse made with real Madagascar vanilla and pear cubes covering our homemade caramel cream and almond Joconde cake.

Our Crunchy Caramel rightfully won second place In the “caramel and cream” category. A moist vanilla cake garnished with a chocolate-caramel crunch, light caramel mousse and a core of chocolate-caramel ganache, it’s creamy, rich and simply delicious.

Saving the best for last, in the category nuts, Le Rocher took first place. Our favorite hazelnut Yule log cake (also one of our bestsellers in a classic size), it starts with a dark chocolate ganache and a silky hazelnut layered with a hazelnut crunch and a hazelnut mousse. It’s covered in a sumptuous and creamy chocolate ganache with hazelnut pieces and topped with milk chocolate and crepe crumbs. The chocolate-hazelnut combination is always a winner regardless of the season.

This year, Jessica Pastries Inc. created the Hazelnut Caramel Yule log, which won second place in the category “nuts,” for the brand Trois fois par jour. This log consists of a moist chocolate brownie garnished with rich chocolate-caramel mousse and creamy sea salt caramel covered in caramel mirror glaze with hazelnut powder.
